Dr. Moy’s Departure

To My Patients,

It is with bittersweet feelings that I announce my departure from Laurel Internal Medicine at the end of June. It has been both an honor and privilege to care for you, my patients, over the past 28 years. Some I have known longer than others, but you are like family to me, and I will miss all of you. You have made this journey special for me, and that is what makes it hard to say goodbye.

Had you asked me a few short months ago, I would have said that not only would I be here forever, but that I had no intention of ever retiring. Sometimes though, life throws you an unexpected curve. My father passed not that long ago, and although he was older, it still came as a shock. It made me realize that life is short, and I had not been spending as much time with family as I would have liked. When the opportunity came up for a different type of position that would allow me to have more family time, especially with my elderly mother, I made the decision to take it.

As I look forward to this new chapter in my life, it pleases me to know that I am leaving you in good hands. Drs. Maggin, Tadikonda, Walker, and our NP, Mary Beth O’Brien, all provide excellent care. Additionally I would like you to join me in welcoming Dr Carolyn Hammett who will be taking my place. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and has more than 20 years of experience. She is known for her ability to diagnose and treat difficult conditions, her reassuring bedside manner, and her commitment to excellence.

Thank you once again for letting me be a part of your lives, and I wish each and every one of you the best!

Jenny Moy, MD

Dr. Margolis’s Retirement Announcement

To My Patients:
It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that I announce my retirement from the practice of medicine, as of January 1, 2020. While I am looking forward to having the opportunity to spend more time with my wife, children, grandchildren, and to travel and to pursue other interests, I will miss the challenges and rewards of Internal Medicine. It has been a pleasure and a great privilege to provide care for all of you over the years. I know that some of you have been with me since the very beginning in 1983 and many others have joined my practice over the past 36 years. I will miss these relationships and being there to care for your needs.
I hope that going forward you will continue to seek medical care with Drs. Maggin, Moy, Tadikonda, Walker and Ms. O’Brien. Please come in and meet Dr. Flint Walker who joined our practice on July 1, 2019. All of them are exceedingly knowledgeable and compassionate and I am sure they can provide you with the same level of care and service that you are used to receiving. Your records will remain with Laurel Internal Medicine. If for some reason, you wish to transfer your care elsewhere, your records will be available to you upon written request.
Thank you again for allowing me to serve your medical needs and be part of you and your family’s lives over the years. You have helped me have a wonderful and rewarding career to look back on as I look forward to the future. I wish all of you good health and good fortune.

Sincerely

John Margolis, MD
